(hereinafter referred to as the "Operator")
These terms and conditions govern the rights and obligations between the Mentem service operator and its users.
2. What is the Mentem Service
Mentem is an online platform focused on training cognitive functions, in particular:
- memory
- attention
- decision-making speed
- spatial orientation
- thinking
The service provides access to training exercises, statistics and other features depending on the type of licence.
Mentem is an educational and training tool. It does not replace healthcare or professional diagnostics.
3. Registration and Account Creation
Registration is required to use the service.
Registration takes place by:
1. completing the registration form
2. confirming the registration e-mail
Upon confirmation of the e-mail:
- registration is complete
- a user account is created
- a contractual relationship between the user and the operator is established
By completing registration, the user confirms that they:
- have read the terms and conditions
- agree to them
- undertake to comply with them
4. Trial Period (Trial)
After registration, the user receives free access to the service for 14 days.
During the trial, the user has full access to all features of the service.
The following rules apply:
- one trial is linked to one e-mail address
- the trial cannot be repeated or extended
- the trial is not intended for repeated testing of the service
If the user purchases a licence during the trial:
- the trial ends
- the licence is activated immediately
- the remaining trial days are added to the licence duration
5. Licence Types
Individual Licence
A licence for one user and one account.
Options:
- 3-month licence
- 6-month licence
- 12-month licence
The range of features is the same in all options.
Family Licence
A family licence allows the creation of up to 5 separate profiles.
Each profile has:
- its own statistics
- its own training history
- its own exercise progress
The family licence administrator can edit or change individual profiles.
The family licence is available in the annual option only.
Multi-licence (institutions)
Multi-licences are intended primarily for:
- schools
- therapists
- healthcare facilities
- senior care homes
These licences may have different technical parameters and are provided individually.
6. Licence to Use the Service
By purchasing a licence, the user does not acquire ownership of the service or its content.
The user acquires a time-limited right to use the Mentem service.
The licence:
- is non-transferable
- is linked to a specific account
- cannot be shared outside the permitted profiles
7. Licence Purchase and Payment
Licences can be purchased through the payment process on the Mentem website.
Payments are processed through external payment gateways.
Available payment methods:
- payment card
- bank transfer
- online payment
- PayPal
- QR code
- Google Pay / Apple Pay
The licence is activated upon confirmation of successful payment.
After successful payment:
- the licence is activated
- an invoice is issued
- the invoice is sent by e-mail
The licence does not renew automatically.
8. Technical Access Restrictions
Each account is intended for a limited number of simultaneous logins.
The following rules apply:
- an individual account may have one active login at a time
- family licences allow multiple profiles
- multi-licence accounts may have multiple accesses according to the number of licences purchased
The system may automatically detect simultaneous logins from multiple devices.
If account misuse is suspected, the system may:
- restrict access
- require a new login
- temporarily block the account
9. Prohibition on Account Sharing
The user must not provide access to their account to third parties.
In particular, the following is not permitted:
- sharing access credentials
- using one account by multiple persons
- circumventing the technical restrictions of the service
If the operator discovers account misuse, they are entitled to:
- restrict account functionality
- temporarily block the account
- terminate the account without the right to compensation
10. Prohibition on Automated Access
The following are not permitted:
- bots
- scripts
- automated tools
- content scraping
- tools for mass data downloading
Any attempt to disrupt the service may lead to immediate account blocking.
11. Service Changes
The operator may continuously modify the Mentem service, in particular:
- add new features
- modify training exercises
- change training algorithms
- modify the user interface
These changes are not grounds for a licence refund.
12. Service Availability
The operator endeavours to ensure continuous operation of the service.
Short-term outages may occur in particular due to:
- technical maintenance
- system updates
- third-party interventions
The operator is not liable for outages of the user's internet or device.
13. Account Termination
The user may cancel their account at any time.
Upon account cancellation:
- access to the service is terminated
- no right to a refund of the licence fee arises
The operator may block the account in particular in the event of:
- breach of the terms and conditions
- account sharing
- misuse of the service
14. Refunds
Payments for licences are not refunded as a standard rule.
Refunds may be handled individually in exceptional cases.
15. Out-of-Court Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between the user and the operator that cannot be resolved by agreement, the user may contact:

16. Final Provisions
The operator may update these terms and conditions.
The current version is always published on the Mentem website.
By using the service, the user confirms that they have read the terms and conditions and agree to them.
