How does daily training work?

Frequently asked questions

Why can you feel safe with us?

  • Who is Mentem for?
    • Is Mentem suitable for seniors too?

Yes. Mentem is designed to be understandable and usable for all age groups, including children, adults and seniors. Training automatically adapts to the user's performance and requires no technical skills.

    • Can I use Mentem even if I have no experience and am not a technical type?

Yes. If you can manage working with email or a regular website, you will handle Mentem without any problem. The controls are simple, clear and the exercises will guide you step by step.

Mentem is designed so that anyone can manage it. It has no age limit and the difficulty of the exercises automatically adapts to the user's current abilities, not their age or the performance of others.

    • Is Mentem suitable for parents, companies or therapists too?

Yes. Mentem is used by individuals, families, companies, therapists and facilities such as care homes for seniors. Individual, family and institutional licences are available.

  • How does Mentem work?
    • How does a regular training session work?

The daily training consists of five short exercises focused on various cognitive functions, such as memory, attention, or speed. The training is tailored to each user so that it matches their current abilities and supports long-term improvement.

    • How much time does the daily training take?

A regular daily training session takes approximately 10–15 minutes. This duration is chosen to be sustainable in the long term and to help build a regular habit. If you don't have time on a given day, you can complete just one exercise. If, on the other hand, you want to train longer, you can do as many exercises in a day as you wish.

    • How is the difficulty of the exercises set?

The difficulty is set automatically based on the user's performance. If you improve, the exercises gradually adapt. If you have a weaker day, the system takes that into account.

    • What exactly does Mentem train?

Mentem focuses on cognitive functions such as memory, attention, information processing speed, thinking, spatial orientation, and imagination. The training is balanced and combines multiple areas, but you can easily customise it according to your own preferences (for example, focusing only on memory).

    • Can I use Mentem even if I have no experience and am not a technical person?

Yes. If you can manage email or a regular website, you will have no problem using Mentem. The interface is simple, clear, and the exercises will guide you step by step.

Mentem is designed so that anyone can use it. There is no age limit and the difficulty of the exercises automatically adapts to the user's current abilities, not their age or the performance of others.

  • Results and progress
    • How do I know I am improving?

You will often notice improvements in everyday life – for example in better concentration, memory, or faster reaction. You can also track your progress directly in the app using clear statistics and the so-called Mentem Index, which show the long-term development of your performance in the exercises.

    • When can I expect the first results?

Changes in cognitive functions do not usually happen overnight. Research into long-term cognitive training shows that meaningful changes appear within a matter of weeks of regular training, with the pace being individual and depending primarily on consistency and engagement.

    • Why is regularity of training important?

Cognitive functions improve gradually through repeated stimulation and consolidation of neural connections. Regular training allows the brain to respond to stimuli and adapt, while irregular or sporadic exercise tends to lead to temporary performance without a long-term effect.

That is why Mentem is designed as short but regular training that supports sustainable progress.

    • Is Mentem a medical device or a substitute for therapy?

No. Mentem is not a medical device, a diagnostic tool, or a substitute for treatment or therapy. It serves as a tool for training cognitive abilities and supporting mental fitness.

    • How is the difficulty of the exercises set?

The difficulty is set automatically based on the user's performance. If you improve, the exercises gradually adapt. If you are having a weaker day, the system takes this into account.

  • License and access
    • How does the trial period work?

After registration you get a 14-day trial period, during which you have full access to all Mentem functions. The trial period is intended for trying out the training in practice. If you decide to go fully into Mentem, you will not lose the remaining time – it will automatically be added to your licence.

    • What happens after the trial period ends?

After the trial period ends, your account will remain active and you will see your results, but you will not be able to run additional exercises without an active license.

    • s Mentem a medical device or a replacement for therapy?

No. Mentem is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or a replacement for treatment or therapy. It serves as a tool for training cognitive abilities and supporting mental fitness.
